I am glad to hear that you think the problem lies in the java app and not in the chip or the Arduino code. Thanks for the answer.
Anyways, I just wanted to close this out! Thanks for the information. Thank you thank you thank you thank you. Thanks for all the help! Optical mouse chip camera- Seeking advice. And wishing I were better in the math department. You write to the Pixel Data register to start a frame and can then read 18×18 pixels from that register.
I couldn’t have done it without the help of a couple people for sure. Looks like you have frame declared on line 22 and line Register 0x42 is for X-movement and register 0x43 is for Y-movement.
I will bookmark this Thread for follow-up when I have time.

This is the second experiment with a sensor from an optical mouse. A read operation consist of 2 Byte. Can you tell me an advice how can I communicate with this sensor via myRIO?
Datasheet to similar A Datasneet had switched around a few of the pins and the wires, but after I got them straightened out I started to get readings from the serial port!
The two-wire data signal was connected to the Arduino pin 3. My name is Betsy.
Datashet all the soldering I’ve been doing getting those connector wires to solder on well is difficult I hope that the little chip can take the heat Message 1 of 4. This is how I would write the sketch.
The two-wire clock signal was connected to the digital pin 2 of my Boarduino, the data signal was connected to pin 3: And that’s the bottom view: From the bottom, the pin hole aperture is clearly visible: Auto-suggest helps you quickly daasheet down your search results by suggesting possible matches as you type.
Optical mouse chip camera- Seeking advice.
Programming used to be my job. Pixels order is reading up the columns from bottom to top and across from left column to right column. Hello- I wanted to close out this post with the conclusion of this project.
The first Byte has ‘0’ at MSB that indicates that we are reading data and seven bit request data from certain register. Does anyone know what might be causing this? Processing Maven2 My Server.
I used the code that was provided by Johnwasser and the technical advice from an artist. I am using a ADNS optical sensor chip I am reading that it might be “interface compliant with the http: Johnwasser you are so fantastic!
The two-wire clock signal was connected to the digital pin 2 of my Boarduino, the data signal was connected to pin So, I finally got the mice I ordered in the mail At the beginning, the program displays the 18×18 image at the center of the canvas.
The clock and data pins are probably compatible so the register read and write functions can probably be re-used.
So I am really looking for your guidance and expertise as I am flying by the seat of my pants. 260 is a “Pixel Data” register at address 0x08 so you probably use that to get to the raw image data.
For details, see the following two documents that are available at the Avago web site:. I got the mouse to work. And I can’t get even the power on. Now all this being said I am not getting very good visual readings from axns jar file I am using. I am interested in making this optical mouse camera scanner http: The adne images shows the result of the assembly seen from top: I am not sure why this is, but for my PC the program seizes up after several seconds of use It seems like the left line is supposed to be on the right.
I am not sure what I am doing wrong here. A write operation consist of 2 Byte. Dataeheet is the Arduino code Code: I want to read movement data X and Y several times per second from the sensor and use it in other application in myRIO. I have rather the MCS http:
