She is all of the above and more–a woman who is not happy in her own skin; a woman whose body is not accepted by “skinny” society; a woman who is the “Mexican Burro” at her job the only one ferreraa does any real work; and, finally, like many of us, she is a woman desperately trying to climb up the corporate ladder for a better salary, a better lifestyle, a better everything.
Then one day, everything changes! The review must be at least 50 characters long. Reading this book made it feel like I was reading the diary of a “fat chick”–where I learned all about her hopes, fears, and insecurities about her self-image.
Nothing sexual happens, but its very fun in the things that do occur to her. Except it’s not really positive if you think about it.

aoberto I read most of it in one sitting, just couldn’t put it down. B would prefer not to be named Beauty. It was ok but not my favorite. Un dia, haciendo sus taxes, se encuentra con una madame y desde ahi comiensa la aventura. T B as in Beauty Written By: B doesn’t want to be a whore, especially with her Catholic guilt, but Madame promises no sex.

I enjoyed reading this book, and Alberto Ferraras has a great written voice. I liked B, I liked her co-workers, her new friends, I liked it all. As B’s confidence blossoms, so do her fantasies of revenge.
Fun and easy read.
I have to say, this goes down as one of my all-time favorite books! The romance is well done and touching. Body image isn’t just a problem for teenage girls, as shown by the number of adults who are participating in the Body Image Challenge.
My issues with this book are widespread. Adios to My Old Life. Thanks for telling us about aas problem. Sin embargo cuando conoce a Madame Natasha Sokolov, una mujer rusa llena de misterios que afirma tener un trabajo perfecto para B, un trabajo donde B conocera gente que esta ansiosa por tenerla cerca, es cuando la aventura de B comienza.

B as in Beauty is a valiant first effort in chicklit from a male author. I highly recommend this if you are a woman who has ever thought less of herself because of a flaw in her body I’m not really involved in the size acceptance movement, so maybe there’s another way of looking at it that I’m missing.
And Madame thinks B would be perfect for her clients. Overall rating No ratings yet 0. While studies have shown that weight-based discrimination does exist in the corporate world, every other incident meant to illustrate the unhappy state of her life reads like a cliched fat joke: We need more women like B in art – women who know, or learn, they are beautiful without losing a pound. Though complex and extremely talented, Beauty also struggles with insecurities and a poor self image.
My only complaint was that it was predictable at times. I had no idea what kind of journey the chapters would lead me to, but I excitedly followed along because of the fast, entertaining pacing.
