Originally published at Reading Reality I’m starting to think that Catherine Bybee’s cayherine travel romances are a form of biblioholic crack–endlessly addictive. It is a fun, quick read and very enjoyable.

Not only that, but the chemistry between the hero and heroine was awful. When Duncan Duncan MacCoinnich’s task Maybe even a better job in developing the time travel story. Tara let her friend Cassy drag her to this Renaissance Fair where she meets Duncan.
It shouldn’t have been that easy. She needed to mourn. Tara and Duncan have a beautiful relationship full of passion and respect. The only complaint I have is with the abuse of the heroin.

I was a little wary at the beginning of this story. Malcolm of clan MacKintosh has enough to worry about without finding a mysterious lass sleeping on the side of his road. Any other kilt wearing Scot has a lot to compete with. Fin is just as loyal and fierce.
That may have something to do with Monteath’s grave and somber performance, or maybe not. The evil is closing in on them both. What do you get when you take Scottish Warriors from the sixteenth century, a evil witch, a modern 25 year old virgin, a accidental soul binding marriage, and time travel? I fell completely in love with the hero Duncan and the heroine Tara.

I Highly Recommend Redeeming Vows. And is it love they feel? And the erotic bits? Looking forward to the next in the series. Felt the writing needed polishing as it didn’t flow well. Travel to the twenty-first century Renaissance Faire, deflower the Druid virgins, and go home.
The question is whether he can convince her of that, now that he knows just what she’s giving up. The lead byvee has enough gumption about her not to come off as annoying as in the Outlander series The mix of time travel, witches, magic, and the power of falling catherrine love grabbed me instantly.
Only his job is not so easily accomplished with the virgin in question, Tara McAllister. Fate has other plans.

If you are a fan of Highlanders written in the style of the masters — Moning and Joyce, you won’t find five stars here. Time is running out. In an attempt to return her powers to their source, she travels to Ireland to harness the ancient magic that still permeates the mystical site of Newgrange.
I loved that they finally defeated the “great evil” so I am interested to see what will be the next great challenge in the next book.
The couple begin a magical really journey of discovery of Tara’s Druid heritage. They really worked well as a couple and there love and the passion shines through. I loved the uniqueness of it, it was a quite refreshing. After the devastating loss of her husband in Iraq, Morgan Dane returns to Scarlet Catherne, seeking the comfort of her hometown.
This series is excellent. There are a couple scenes to skip for those who don’t like steam. Duncan’s immediately drawn to Tara, a beautiful, strong, stubborn, modern-day, kind Virgin so he gives it his best shot to try to seduce her but binding vows once said can never be broken and, before she realises it, bindding whisked her away through time but, unfortunately for Duncan, she’s anything but happy about it.
And it was at times almost painful to listen to his attempt at female voices.
