The Year I Met You just wasn’t for me and as much as I am devastated that I didn’t like it I am looking forward to reading more of Cecelia’s newer books. Into their lives comes Ivan, a sort of “professional imaginary best friend”.
Don’t we all jnjige someone like that in our lives? Where other female writers may have taken the reader on the journey of dinner dates, champagne and wonderful love-making scenes, Cecilia Ahern uses her talent to tell us stories of nature, solidarity and change.
Return to Book Page. Nov 24, Becca rated it really liked it Shelves: And that’s what I love about Ahern’s books; they make it seem so real. Jul 17, Petra Miocic rated it it was amazing Shelves: It also showed that there aren’t all happy endings in fairy tales but that doesn’t mean that it’s not uplifting and our protagonist does go through changes. This crcelia normal, but Elizabeth being able to see Ivan is not. Elizabeth thinks that Ivan is the father of one of Luke’s friends, I’ll leave it at that.
I really liked it.
Penny’s life is back to normal. Her mother also gave birth to another little girl, named Saoirsewhich, after looking into it, means freedom in Irish Gaelic.
Elizabeth, our protagonist is like that. Will Matt be jealous?
I liked this book. Ivan was the catalyst of change of Lizzie’s boring life. It took me few days to get into the groove. This lovely book blazes with it. See from the very first moment, I felt a connection If you could see me now It will grab you and linger.
PERFECT – Cecelia Ahern | Knjižare Vulkan
Naravno, bez ljubavi ne ide, no ona ovog puta nije cilj, a nije ni sredstvo. A must read for all the contemporary romance lovers!
Once she’s grown up, Elizabeth’s sister I’m not even attempting to type the name. That’s gotta be worth looking into, right.
As I read I wanted to find what is the main plot and storyline of the book. You spiral down into dark thoughts ceelia you stalk your neighbor who you hate and whose family is threatening to fall apart.
I could not take it. I struggled to like Jasmine, as I found her shern frustrating and quite self-centred. Since then I have read pretty much every book she has wrote and loved all of them. I first started this book 2 years ago, when it was first released and I knjigd around half way through, and I struggled through the first half. And then I heard myself saying, “I believe But Celestine has a secret — one that could bring the entire Flawed system crumbling to the ground.
Summer 3 14 Jan 30, I read a review about it, and was set off to see what is was about Elizabeth froze, moved her eye sockets from left to right suspiciously, and then continued working. That brings us to the relationships in this book, I loved the relationship between the two sisters and it was one of the greatest things about this book. He takes her breath away, and I’m a little confused, but I think, of course, a little jealousy, a little rivalry will push Matt to take that step crcelia for them to get out of the friend zone.
Matt is forcing Jasmine to re-evaluate her kniige and the way she’s lived her life ever since her cousin Kevin told her she was going to die.
The Year I Met You by Cecelia Ahern
He’s a DJ with his own show and he’s decided to give a voice to cevelia people who’s opinion Jasmine would rather not hear. I don’t like her. Moreover, Jasmine is a motherly character who cares way too much knjigf her younger sister, and their bond, that the author portrayed in the book, is something to cherish for. Jasmine herself has hit rock bottom when she loses her job and is on gardening leave meaning she is not allowed to find another job for another yearwhich drives her absolutely insane and leads her to some actual, literal gardening.
This is where I expected the book to get predictably romantic and gushy. I did, however, find Elizabeth to be a bit indulgent.
Friendship and support is what this book is about, not love. And Elizabeths nephew, Luke, age 6, has an imaginary friend.
Elizabeth Egan has a tragic story most of us do.
But that s the thing about love no one is untouchable. Lists with This Book.
Ivan is an awesome guy. She really needs some fun in her life, some laughter, some excitement, something magical
