Preliminarily, two types of observers, according to their degree of interest in the activity,were identified, recreationists and specialists. For the latter, we include 18 species, which becauseof their limited distribution, endemism and singularity, are the most sought by observers who visit Santa Cruz, several of these species have a bounded geographical distribution, thus resulting in a comparative advantage over other sites that offer birds as a touristic product.
To contrast the knowledge and perception that the population have regarding their cultural heritage, 96 surveys were applied.
