It takes a while to get going but once it does, well I just couldn’t put the book down. If you wanted to start The Belgariad over as soon as you read the last word, then this book is the answer.

The military leaders are later visited by the clairvoyant Cyradisthe seeress of Kellwho reveals that the kidnapping was carried out by Zandramasthe new Child of Dark.

Please help improve this article by adding citations to reliable sources. This series seemed like such a hollow money grab, but at the same time I have a lot of fond memories of the original series so I’m going to keep trudging along like a good Sendarian rutabaga farmer.

This is explained in the series, but can be somewhat monotonous. Several of the trees appeared to have been specifically designed for climbing, and one huge, white old birch overhanging the stream promised the exhilarating combination of climbing a tree and falling into the water, all at one time. The book also ends with the gang heading out for Nyissa which is exactly where the gang landed in book two of the Belgariad series!
Usually, this is the main theme fantasy. The author telegraphs what’s supposed to be plot twists books ahead, never introduces a single character, place, or element without usually obvious importance to the plot, and in the end, nothing the characters do matters, because the author simply never lets anything go wrong for more than a page, and in fact eventually codifies the whole thing as being the result of the overarching prophecy that drives both series, eventually even stating that the repetitiveness of the plot itself – down to the shitty jokes the characters keep repeating – is a part of it.
Garion had slain the evil God Torak and been crowned King of Riva. He later switched to writing epic fantasy, a field in which he achieved great success. And Eddings still has some of the funny left.

David Eddings was an American author who wrote several best-selling series of epic fantasy novels. When all objections are overcome, the company assembles and departs. A favorite of mine as a child, with characters of perhaps a stereotypical sort, but well-written and enjoyable in the end. Questo volume contiene i primi 3 episodi della saga dei Mallorean: You would think that this would be boring and just a re hash of the first series but you know what? I love Aldur’s followers, and I even miss Zedar. The demons go after Garion’s group, sensing the Orb ‘s presence, but Aldur infuses Durnik with his own powers, and he defeats and banishes Nahaz.
Eddings does not hide the fact that this book is pretty much the same as the last. The premise was cool, I liked the mix of characters and edings magical system developed by the author just plain worked.
Alas, King Rhodar, your fatness bit you in the arse mate An oldie, but a goodie. But there are 4 books to go so I’ll comment when I’m done with the series. The Belgariad was a prefect fantasy series for young adults but I must admit that there was nothing too original in there and the characters were basic stereotypes. Guardias lets the tension build slowly and rewards his faithful readers with nuggets of really worthwhile parts.
