I will have to check the flatbeds out. The only difference is that Depron comes with no paper covering at all, so I foamh to choose either to cover one side or both and do it myself, of course.

I have my local printer use that to print the correct scale and use whatever size paper is needed. I know many people have printed the non-tiled plans Which design are you interested in. Carefully remove the existing paper from one side of the foamboard. You need to log-in to comment on articles. Complete with folding wings and a scale outline. As has been mentioned before, it would help a great deal for people like me who don’t have access to foam board, but depron.

This will add a little weight but also a little more rigidity and strength. I hope that the information is useful to others including those using depron. The prints that I have used are definitely not colorfast. I am concerned about waterproofing though.
I am intrigued and want to test this a little…. The colors were darker and “more brown”. Wouldn’t these printed colors run?

Depending on the printer and paper used, the colorfastness will differ. Dave Powers sells a range of “build it yourself” foam jete. Or go brushless and make it scream!

I will be trying to clean this thread up over the next few days. I love the idea! As was quickly pointed out in the comments, many depron and profile builders have been using similar techniques for years. It’s such an easy way to do it, I cannot believe it wasn’t thought of before!
I have added pictures in the body of the article. I did notice that you only put one side of the vertical stab on the sheet though Depending on the printer you may also need to open the printer “Properties” to check for print quality and sizing, as sometimes printer settings will override the file settings shown in the print dialog box.

Kurt on October 30, I think the basics would be enough to get me started. I’m not sure if I can get it in my country. This is a foam underlay, used in Europe under house flooring. Hopefully one or more of these tools will help. I like to let mine sit for about a half hour before I begin cutting out my design. Jegs, I ordered some film and started to develop some “graphics”. PDF Plans for the Biplane with snow ski’s Built using white dollar store foam board and has a 36″inch wing span.
It’s not as advanced but it’s jetss than enough for us. The MPL is part of the download and shows all the components required to build foam jets. As I proceed through the build I will keep the site updated with my progress.
