This is the twenty-second book I read on my commute, and I’m reasonably certain that this book falls in the modern-lit category. Definitely not something I would want my kids to read about. Ottimo albo illustrato per il carattere vintage delle immagini e per l’equilibrio della narrazione.

It’s quite an interesting concept but I struggled with this one and only just managed to finish it. Loosely based on Hamlet, this book left me wondering almost throughout its entirety whether the narrator was sane or not. Una storia ironica, divertente e Hamlet, indeed, but told through the angst-ridden eyes of the would-be 11 year old murderer.

The story is interesting, but at a certain point I’m like “Come on. It’s fun to see how Matt Haig adapts Shakespearean motifs to the twenty-first century, and it’s fun to see how he subverts the story as well.
