I enjoyed it, but really only because it mystified me as I read. It sheds light on a very regrettable time in Ca Catalina, was Estrella’s friend until her horrid betrayal and jealousy overthrew who she was and became a hard, cruel person.
It is probably a bit easy for high schoolers, and boys might have a hard alce relating to the story of female friendship.
