Understanding Movies, 13th Edition
Since I was planning to watch Kane again for another movie list, I decided to time my viewing with the reading of this last chapter so it was fresh in my mind. Both books are copiously illustrated.

I have a general interest in film which is why I took the class and the terminology and movie back story have been interesting. New in this edition: Professor Giannetti is also the author of a book on cinema theory, Godard and Others: This title is out of print.
Trivia About Understanding Movies. I liked that it defined most of the terms in the text so you didn’t have to go and do a lot of outside research to figure out what the authors were saying, and the examples are excellent as well.
